New Circus - what is it?

The artistic idea itself was born in the 1970s and was a response to the crisis of the traditional circus. New Circus takes the workshop and skills of jugglers, acrobats and clowns from classic performances at the same time resigning from the fossilized form of shows. The New Circus goes out to people, turns the street into a theatre stage. The line between the performer and the viewer becomes very thin. The audience gathered in theatres, tents, streets and squares becomes the part of the performance. The most important thing in the New Circus is the story and its audience – putting people and their skills at the center.
Are animals used in performances?

No! One of the main ideas of the New Circus is to back out of the use of animals in performances, and to place people and their skills as the most important element of the show.
Is the festival free of charge?

Most of the festival events are completely free. The exceptions are stage performances, campsite and highline.
I am an artist and I would like to apply to be able to perform at OFCA What should I do?

Be sure to write an e-mail to the following address: biuro@festiwalofca.pl, attaching a short description of the show, a video from the show or a photo.
Can I enter the campsite with a camper van?

Yes, but remember that once your car is parked at the campsite, you will not be able to leave it until the end of your stay at the festival. It is not possible to enter and leave the campsite at any time.
Can a minor stay at the campsite?

Yes, but – up to 16 years old- with the supervision of an adult. People between 16 and 18 years of age can stay alone, however, a written consent of a parent or legal guardian is required – to find here.
Do children pay for the campsite?

Only children under 10 have free admission to the campsite.
Can I take my dog to the campsite?

Yes, but remember that the dog must be properly secured and must not run loose on its premises.
Where can I buy tickets for paid shows?

You can buy them online (TICKETS) or during the festival at the Infopoint located in the Market Square in Oleśnica. Please note that the shows have age restrictions!
When is the Infopoint open?

On Friday, August 11 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13 – from 10.00 to 20.00
Where can I buy the the campsite / highline passes?

Having arrived in Oleśnica, go to the Registration Point located in the Oleśnica Castle, next to the campsite. You can buy a special wristband there and register your stay at the festival.
